Children are welcome at our church!

We have many programs for children and young families. Every Sunday children are invited to the worship service for the first part of the worship service. Pastor calls the children to the front of the church for the Children's Minute, after which the children are released to go to Sunday School classes. We currently have three Sunday School classes for children ages 3 years ' 5th grade. The preschool classroom is located just across the hall from the Church Nursery. Each week children are taught Bible lessons, have creative craft projects, & grow closer to the true meaning of God's love in their lives.

Our Younger Elementary class meets in Room #3 of the preschool hallway and our Older elementary class meets in the Resource Room. Each week children are taught meaningful interactive lessons by a dedicated team of Sunday School teachers who love the Lord and love children! Children are to be picked up by their parents from the Sunday School classrooms after church. Nursery care is also available for children under the age of three. Age'appropriate toys and interactive Biblical lessons are also provided for the little ones!

The Celebration Choir

The Celebration Choir is our Children's Choir group. This young choir is open to all who wish to participate! This is a no'cost, no'audition group. Weekly rehearsals are held throughout the school year with regular performances at worship services and special events here at our church. We always include a fellowship opportunity for the children with either lunch or breakfast, depending on the practice schedule. This group focuses on praising God through music while learning the basics of music in a family friendly environment. Choir robes are provided for the children at no cost.

Fellowship and Service Opportunities are available through Ministries with Children on a regular basis so that these young people have the opportunity to get together outside of church. In addition to our annual events such as Strawberry Festival, VBS & Rally Day, First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta provides many fun and meaningful events for families. Whether it's fun at the beach, help for the homeless, or kayaking the beautiful waterways of this area, we love to get out there together and make a difference in the community!
